Saveetha School of Law Hosts International Conference on Constitutional and Labour Rights held on July 29, 2025  –

Saveetha School of Law, SIMATS, Department of Research and Development, successfully organized the International Conference on Constitutional and Labour Rights: Challenges and Opportunities in a Globalized World in hybrid mode. The event received 110 abstract submissions, with 65 high-quality research papers selected for presentation, offering a platform for academic exchange on contemporary labour and constitutional law issues.

The inaugural session commenced with Dr. S. Thangamayan’s (HOD, Department of R&D) welcome address and keynote speeches by Mr. Venkateswaran Palat Krishnan, Adv. C. Subash, Dr. D. Umamaheswari, and Prof. (Dr.) P.V.N. Sarma, who shared insights on global labour rights, grassroots struggles, judicial activism, and gig worker reforms.

Following this, parallel technical sessions were held across offline and online venues, with 65 presenters engaging in impactful discussions. In the afternoon, Dr. Fowmina C. delivered a keynote on the intersection of labour and constitutional rights. The valedictory session recognized 3 Best Presenters and 5 Best Papers.

Dr. Aswathy Prakash G, the conference convenor delivered the Vote of Thanks, commending the efforts of the organizing team, student volunteers, faculty, and participants. The conference successfully fostered global dialogue, policy insights, and reaffirmed Saveetha School of Law’s commitment to academic excellence.
