A webinar on ‘The Role of Police Officer in Filing First Information Report’ was conducted on 25th April, 2021. The resource person for the webinar was Mr. C. Murugesan who is a Sub Inspector Of Police in Chennai. The resource person explained about the important aspects of filing an FIR against the accused and important provisions like Section 41 of the Criminal Procedure Code and Goondas Act which are pivotal in criminal court practice. He also shared his experience about filing FIR and charge sheet in criminal cases. This topic holds high importance for the practising lawyers in dealing the criminal cases.
