National Seminar on AI & LAW
The Department of Constitutional Law at Saveetha School of Law successfully organized a National Seminar on “AI and Law” on Wednesday, 30th April 2025. The event brought together legal scholars, academicians, practitioners, and students of various Law Colleges from across the country to explore and critically examine the evolving intersection of artificial intelligence and legal systems.
The seminar covered the following key themes:
Legal Framework Governing AI in India: Discussions centered on the current regulatory landscape, proposed legislation, and the need for a comprehensive AI policy framework.
AI and Intellectual Property Law: Speakers addressed the challenges AI poses to existing IP regimes, including authorship, ownership, and patentability of AI-generated works.
AI and Technology: This session focused on the rapid integration of AI into legal technologies and its implications for access to justice and legal practice.
AI in Criminal Justice: Experts analyzed the use of AI in predictive policing, risk assessment tools, and the potential for algorithmic bias in criminal trials.
