Center for Criminal Justice Research (CCJR) and Department of Research and Development, Saveetha School of Law has organized an EXPERT LECTURE ON CYBER LAW AND CYBER SECURITY on the 13th February 2023. The Chief Guest and Speaker of the Day was Dr. Raju Narayana Swamy IAS, Principal Secretary of the Government of Kerala (Parliamentary Affairs). The event began at 10 A.M., invoking praise to God by singing the Tamil Thai Vazhthu. Principal, Prof. Dr. Asha Sundaram delivered the welcome address and felicitated the Chief Guest that made our guests feel at home. The Guest Speaker, Dr. Raju Narayana Swamy, enlightened the students on the various Cyber Laws and Cyber Crimes that occur across the world and elaborated on the impact of such crimes on the people, the world in general along with the numerous preventative measures against it. The speaker also discussed the many methods of encryption and decoding, the types of security measures utilized by all computer systems, the evolution of artificial intelligence, and its function in the judicial systems of various nations.Students were enthusiastic and willing to learn, and they shared their own experiences with how they were affected by and victims of such crimes. They also posed numerous questions regarding how they might prevent it. Around 120 students and faculty members attended the event, which was preceded by high tea and networking.
