Court Visit - District Court, Tiruvallur

The students of Slot C (Civil Procedure Code – LC1391 and Drafting of Writs, Probates, and Conveyancing – EA3390) undertook a court visit as part of their practical learning experience. The visit, held on 21/03/2025 at Tiruvallur District Court, aimed to provide students with first-hand exposure to court proceedings, legal arguments, and judicial processes, thereby enhancing their understanding of procedural law.

During the visit, students interacted with Mrs. Nalini Devi, Secretary, Legal Services Authority, who explained various procedural aspects of mediation in family matters. They observed proceedings in the POCSO Special Court, Family Court, Mahila Court, and Sub Court, including roll call and evidence collection. Mrs. Vijayalakshmi, a panel advocate from the District Legal Services Authority, Tiruvallur, guided students through in-camera proceedings and witness examinations. The visit was coordinated by Mrs. Girija Anil (Department of Labour Law), Dr. Aswathy Prakash G (Department of Research & Development), and Rini Adiyattil (Department of Constitutional Law).
