DUTIES AND FUNCTIONING OF CUSTOMS HOUSE AGENT

A Webinar was organised on 24.12.2020 on the Topic Duties and Functioning of Customs House Agent(CHA). The Resource person of the Webinar was Mr. Prashanth, B.sc., MCA., who works in CHA. Webinar started with the insights on the roles of Customs House Agent and how to become a Custom House Agent was lucidly explained by the Speaker. He also spoke about the essentials of CHA, appointment and whether appointment of CHA is a good idea for smoother customs clearance of Goods. His focus was mainly on the needs of CHA for the hour and how the goods are being imported from Foreign Countries. A Practical view on documentation and attestation of goods was also described in a detailed manner. The Session ended with queries from students and analysis followed.
