Cyber crimes on social media

Saveetha School of Law conducted a webinar on "Cyber crimes on social media''. The session is handled by MS. Madhumitha, a cyber security expert. The webinar commenced by providing an insight into social media and most commonly reported crimes that occur on it. The most reported incidents involve people making threats, bullying, harassing, and stalking others online. The speaker explained the difference between legitimate and illegitimate transactions using social media with ample illustrations. She also highlighted the importance of privacy settings and protecting one's information in these platforms as social media is also a deep pool of personal data. Onl the whole session was really impactful and insightful. The session was attended by over 50 students who had come prepared on this subject. The speaker was incredibly impressed by the eloquence and passion shown by the students of Saveetha School of Law.
