Dr. Rooyah Shakthi Venkataramanan was the resource person of the Webinar on Consent and medical negligence. She has been practicing Medicine since 2015. I have worked in various set up such as Primary Health Centers - a way to reach out to the Rural Population, Corporate Hospital and my latest stint was with Apollo Shine Foundation. Through Shine Foundation, we have reached the student population at various schools and colleges to do primary level screening and guide them for good health by counselling on various aspects. Currently I am pursuing post graduation in Emergency Medicine with Royal College of London.

The resource person explained the importance of consent in the medical field . She gave a brief understanding of consent types. The rules which exist with regard to consent. She explained about the various consents at different instant like normal courses, in a serious scenario of the patient, how it's been handled by the doctors with the patient.
