Today’s (09/03/2020) special lecture was delivered by Ms. K Indhumathi who is a guest faculty in School of excellence in Law and as well as a practising advocate in high court who takes commercial papers, have come to take a brief lecture on corporate body with relation to transfer of property, that is, the corporate being a legal person it’s rights in passing and transferring a property is dealt within the lecture. Overall all the concepts of transfer of property such as transferring of immovable property and movable property through different ways such as gifts, mortgages, loan, etc..with person to person and how legal persons are different from living persons and the similarity of rights they posses in transferring property, the type of stock which a company can hold all these concepts were discussed based on illustrations and practical examples and also mentioned a case law which is Macura vs. Northern Assurance Company. The lecture has covered the overall topics of transfer of property along with company law and insurance law .
