The special lecture was delivered by Mrs. Bhuvaneshwari on the topic "Contempt of Court Act". The session started with the Professional ethics in the legal profession. And proceeded with the rights and duties of the Advocate and also explained about the seven lamps of Advocacy. Later she had the discussion with the Bar council of India and State Bar Council. In which she explained in depth about the role of disciplinary committee in taking the misconduct action. Then the session overviewed the Contempt of Court Act. In which she explained about the Civil and Criminal Contempt and the punishment towards the Contempt of Court Act. And later the session had discussion on defences which are available to the contemnor. The session ended with the cases laws which explains about the Advocates involving in contempt of court.
