SSL Women Empowerment Cell have organised Legal Literacy Program for Government  School Headmistress on Women’s Day, 8th March, 2019. The Chief Guest for the day was  Ms. Deepthi Arivunidhi, First Additional District Judge, Tiruvallur. Her thoughts on women’s day inspired many women. Her interactive session with the audience included the importance of women in today’s scenario. She also discussed whether really women got independence and whether still the stereotype exists among women? These hot burning topics touched the women in the crowd. After the keynote address, Recognition Award was distributed to the fifteen identified Government Headmistress by the Chief Guest. The identified Headmistresses are from Government Schools of Nallur, Gunduperumbedu, Sriperumbudur, Ekanapuram, Koothavakkam, Podavur, Irungattukottai, Pillaipakkam, Thirumangalam, Nemili, Sriperumbudur South, Umayal Parancherry, Koovur, Padappai, and Molachur. Headmistress of various Government Schools assured that they will consider it as a beginning for legal awareness and share it with their students. They also included that such legal awareness programs will be arranged on-campus for the benefit of the students.
