The Saveetha School of Law, part of the renowned Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, successfully hosted the Symposium on Constitutional Law Day on November 26, 2024, at the MM Convention Hall. The event celebrated the Annual Constitution Day of India and honored the enduring legacy of the Indian Constitution as the foundation of justice, equality, and governance. The symposium was graced by the Honourable Governor of Tamil Nadu, Thiru R.N. Ravi, whose exemplary leadership and deep commitment to constitutional values added unparalleled significance to the occasion. The event was guided by the visionary leadership of Dr. N.M. Veeraiyan, Founder and Chancellor of Saveetha Institute, whose relentless commitment has shaped the institution’s excellence. It was organized under the convenership of Prof. Dr. Asha Sundaram, Principal of Saveetha School of Law. Esteemed panelists, including Hon’ble Justice Thiru. Kannan, Former Judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court; Dr. Raju Narayanaswamy, IAS, Principal Secretary to the Government of Kerala; Dr. Suresh, Chairman and MD of Sustainability NeXgen and former CEO of Mahindra Group; Mr. Hari Balaji, National Consultant for Disaster Management; and Dr. Kriss Venugopal, Multilingual Voice Coach and Motivator, engaged in insightful discussions on constitutional themes. The symposium, commemorating National Law Day, highlighted the Constitution’s pivotal role in shaping India’s democracy and reaffirmed the values it enshrines for future generations.
