Socio-Legal Outreach Programme

Social welfare club organized a socio-legal outreach program on 29/10/2022 at Narikuravar colony, kotturpuram Road, Adyar,Chennai. The motive of the outreach program is to create educational awareness to the Narikuravar Community. In this programme 35 students along with 4 faculties coordinated and students interacted with children and discussed the importance of education to their future career. students contributed notebooks, pencils, biscuits, sanitary napkins etc to them. And also students observed their living conditions and their culture. The language used by them is Vaagri Booli. They had several demands like a permanent shop for their livelihood, patta for house etc. Some NGOs are providing educational services (tution Center) for their educational upliftment.Social Activist also working for the empowerment of the community. Finally the students observed that the government needed to give more attention for their basic needs and development.
