SOCIO - LEGAL AWARENESS PROGRAM

On behalf of IPR department Mrs.A.P Christy epsi ,Assistant Professor of Law Conducted a socio legal Awareness programme for the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences [POCSO] Act 2021 and Juvenile Justice and Care Act, 2015 organised at the St.Joseph higher Secondary school here on Wednesday 23 November 2022 .With an Objective To stress upon effective implementation of the POCSO Act and juvenile justice laws to protect and prevent children from indulging in anti-social activities. Led by Sub Inspector of Police Mrs. Nattalammai and Vijay Poonamallee T-12 police station who discussed provisions under the POCSO Act and sessions was conducted to spread basic legal knowledge among the students and to provide them information regarding the role of the police in such cases. A session on good touch ,bad touch and Cyber stalking conducted by the students of Saveetha School of law. Followed by Skit on Child sexual abuse and legal measures. The Program was telecasted in Sun News Channel on 23/11/2022.
