Reciprocal contract under Indian Contract Act 

Webinar was delivered by Mr. Kaviyanathan advocate in The High Court of Madras and a partner at Nathan & Associates law firm.

The topic was about  Reciprocal contract under Indian Contract Act. The speaker talked about  the evolution of promises from t the great Mahabharata and  how a promise got evolved into agreement. The basics features of valid agreements were discussed by the speaker. Various sections from the Indian contract act, specific relief act and evidence act were covered to understand the main features of agreements . The speaker quoted down many case law judgments to clarify the meaning and importance of the reciprocal contracts to us. After the general introduction about the contract, promises and agreement, also he stated the reciprocal promises and its types. The participants  were able to understand it clearly and that made the webinar more interesting.He concluded the webinar by specifically focusing over the remedy available for the party and by giving us adequate knowledge on  how the court would view these kinds of cases.
