ONE DAY SEMINAR ON “COMBATING JUVENILE DRUG ABUSE: STRATEGIES AND SOLUTIONS FOR A SAFER FUTURE 26-06-2024

The department of Criminal law under the able guidance of Prof.Dr.Asha Sundaram, principal of saveetha school of law and Mrs.Niranjana,Head of the Department of Criminal Law conducted an One day seminar on the occasion of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on the topic “Combating Juvenile Drug abuse : Strategies and solutions for a safer future”at saveetha school of law on 26.06.2024.The seminar was organized by Ms.U.Umamaheswari and Ms.S.Amritha, Assistant Professors of Saveetha school of law.

The seminar was headed by the eminent personalities from the field of Juvenile justice board and child welfare committee. The session started with the address by Mrs.M. Parvathisrinivasan, Advocate & Notary Public of India, High Court, Madras Followed by Shri.M.Rajkumar, Chairperson of the Child welfare Committee, Chennai. Mr.S.Ramalingam, Member of Juvenile Justice Board, Chennai.

The main objective of the seminar was to create an awareness on Drug abuse among the students and give a brief on the Functioning of JJB, the speakers further forwarded their knowledge and ideology to create a safer and healthier future for the students
