National Seminar on "Social Justice & Equity through Health Care Delivery System & Governance in India"

The Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Saveetha School of Law, SIMATS, organised a two-day national Seminar on "Social Justice & Equity through Health Care Delivery System & Governance in India" on 11th and 12th December 2024, sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi. The seminar brought together eminent scholars, including Prof. Dr Prakash Chand Kandpal (JNU, New Delhi), Prof. Dr Vinod Kumar (NLU, New Delhi), and Prof. Dr D. Ramakrishnan (Madurai Kamaraj University), who shared profound insights on law, governance, and equitable healthcare. Under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Asha Sundaram, Principal and Convener, and Dr. D. Prema, Co-Convener, the seminar witnessed the presentation of nearly 70 research papers across various technical sessions, focusing on issues of health equity, governance reforms, and social justice. The event served as a significant platform for interdisciplinary dialogue to advance inclusive and sustainable health care governance in India.
