Jus Festum’ 2022 - Constitutional Law Day Celebrations

Saveetha School of Law celebrated National Constitution Day on 26th November 2022 as an extravagant award ceremony as Jus Festum’22 to appreciate and recognise the talents and achievements of the students, faculties, non teaching staff and housekeeping staff. The Chief Guest for the inaugural session was Thiru P.Wilson, Senior Advocate and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) and other dignitaries were Mr. P. Muthukumar, State Government Pleader, Mr. A. Selvendran, Special Government Pleader, Mr. P. Satish, Additional Government Pleader, Mr. U. Baranidharan, Additional Government Pleader and Mr. S. John J Raja Singh, Additional Government Pleader, Dr. Deepak Nallaswamy, Director of Academics, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS), Dr. Chadaram Sivaji, Vice- Chanceller, SIMATS, Dr. Sheeja Varghese, Registrar and Principal Prof. Dr. Asha Sundaram SSL . SIMATS. have distributed more than 170 awards under various categories for the academic year 2021-2022.

The awards includes 5th Ever Rolling Mega Moot Competition Flagship event of Saveetha School of Law, the STAR SUMMIT, etc.., student achievers in academics, sports and cultural events and the faculty awards for best performance in various categories were awarded on the day.

The Chief Guests for the Valedictory session were Thiru. A. Nazir Ahamed, District Judge/ Member Secretary, Tamil Nadu State Legal Authority and Mr. P.V. Sandilyan, Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Thiruvallur, graced the occasion through their presence by awarding the winners of various intra-college competitions on the theme "constitutional values." The week-long celebration of national law day concluded with the finale on November 26th, 2022. Constitutional Pledge was taken as a citizen of India to make a remark on the Constitution Law Day.
