The department of social sciences and Humanities of SSL has organized a Training Program on Counselling Skills for Lawyers. The Guests of the Day were MR. ARUN and MR. T.R. VENDER VENDAN . The morning Session was between 10.15 A.m to 1.15 P.m was handled by Mr. S. Arun, Psychiatric social Worker , NIMHANS. gave inputs on the counselling skills required to enhance the client response. He also gave inputs such as empathy, listening and observing the client and his body language. he also explained about the lawyers role in counselling the client with parapharsing , summarising ,etc.
Evening Session was handled by MR. T.R. VENDER VENDEN , Trainer in govt TNDEGO , gave his valuable inputs on Counselling skills SOLER and the areas where counselling skills can be used effectively. he also explained the role of Counselling in the Profession and how it can be used effectively.
