 ACTS AND RULES OF ANIMAL WELFARE. 

Guest  explained the meaning of Animal Welfare which means the state of the animal, the treatment that an animal receives in other terms are animal care, animal husbandry, and human treatment. 

Then she explained about the The Five Welfare Needs and they are, 

• The need for a suitable environment. 

• The need for suitable diet. 

• The need to exhibit normal behavioural patterns. 

• The need to be housed with or apart from other animals.

• The need to be protected from pain, suffering and disease

 she explained about the Act and rules of The Prevention Of Cruelty Animals Act,1960.
