5th Star Summit'2024

The 5" STAR SUMMIT of Saveetha School of Law was inaugurated with great enthusiasm and fervor  on 24th February, 2024. The event aimed to foster intellectual discourse and promote research in the field of law. The event commenced with the rendition of the Tamil Thai Vazhthu, followed by a captivating welcome dance performed by the talented students. An audiovisual presentation highlighting the journey of Saveetha School of Law and the significance of the STAR SUMMIT set the tone for the day. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp marked the official inauguration, symbolizing the enlightenment and dissemination of knowledge. Principal Prof. Dr. Asha Sundaram delivered a warm welcome speech, emphasizing the importance of conducting such summits and the invaluable benefits of research in legal studies.Hon'ble Mr. Justice V. Sivagnanam, Judge of the High Court of Madras, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honor. In his address, Justice Sivagnanam commended the students for choosing law as their profession. He encouraged them to persevere in their careers as advocates, imparting valuable insights through anecdotes and real-life examples. Justice Sivagnanam elucidated on the essential skills required by advocates, emphasizing the critical role of evidence and logic in crafting compelling arguments. He underscored the importance of reasoning and practical application of legal principles, drawing from his vast experience on the bench.

The inaugural event concluded with the national anthem, leaving the audience inspired and motivated to embark on their journey in the legal profession. The STAR SUMMIT promises to be an enriching platform for academic exchange and advancement in legal scholarship. As the summit progresses, it is anticipated to facilitate meaningful discussions, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and propel the participants towards excellence in the field of law and research. The presentations extended for a week for showcasing the research ideas of students and the valedictory ceremony was held on 2nd March, 2024. Prof. Dr. Asha Sundaram, Principal of Saveetha School of Law welcomed the gathering. The Chief Guest for valedictory ceremony of 5th STAR Summit is Hon’ble Mr. Justice RMT Teekaa Raman, Judge, High Court of Madras delivered the keynote address on the topic of ethical aspects of legal practice and research.  The best poster presenters are awarded with certificates and a trophy.
