The survey was conducted as part of curriculum to gather information regarding various legal research topics undertaken by the students. After five days of classroom learning on legal principles students were given a chance to interact with the general public on every saturday to analyse the actuality of its implementation. The survey was beneficial to the public as well as it created awareness about various legal issue of general interest. The survey topics ranged from Banking laws, Right to Maintenance, Intellectual Property Rights, Importance of Aadhar and Social welfare Services, Online Child Pornography, Labour Welfare, Medical Malpractices, Environmental laws etc.

Saveetha School of law, SIMATS organized an International Conference on Emerging Trends in Constitution on 10th August 2018. International Conference started with grandeur inauguration by the Principal, Dr. Asha Sundaram, Chief Guest Ms. Mahalakshmi, Assistant District Judge and Guests of honor Prof. Dr. Raghunath Reddy and Advocate Vivekanandhan by lighting Kuthuvilakku. The Conference journal was released by the Principal and the Chief Guest. True to the theme of the conference, the Chief Guest addressed the gathering on key aspects of constitution and its growing change. She also insisted the importance of 3P’s (Preparation, Presentation and Perseverance) and the professional ethics advocacy which made the students back-bone straight. Subsequently Prof. Dr. Raghunath Reddy appreciated the college for choosing an insight topic on Constitution. He addressed the audience on dynamics in basic structure of constitution and role of judiciary which was an eye-opener for the law students. Advocate Vivekanandhan gave an overview about the constitution of India. Later on, after the inaugural session, the participants presented papers on different perspectives of constitutional law.
A total number of 900 students’ participated, 85 papers were received from different zones and presented in this conference. The Chief Guest for the Valedictory session was Ms. Mythili Muralidharan, an Activist. The Chief Guest addressed the gathering on the factors that would help an advocate to be successful; she gave tips and key points for being a successful professional. The chief guest also appreciated the college for organizing the conference by maintaining the quality and unique educational system guaranteed in Saveetha School of Law. The international conference winded up with presenting awards for the best papers and presenters. Also, 7 Flipped video made by the students were displayed and best 3 were awarded as best videos. International Conference was a grand success with the support of management, participants,students and faculties.
