The speaker spoke about the effectiveness and efficacy of India's anti-corruption law to tackle graft in government agencies and public sector businesses. He also stated that anti-bribery, anti-corruption and the expectation of fair and ethical business practices from the private sector which is an important topic in today's world-wide political, economic and confidence crises. Furthermore, he dealt with issues such as anti-corruption laws of other countries like the UK Bribery Act, the Indian Prevention of Corruption Act, the Chinese Anti-unfair Competition Act, as well as the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development's Anti-Bribery Convention. Finally the speaker discussed how cooperation among prosecutors in countries across the globe has led to better coordinated prosecution of bribery.

At this juncture, The Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018 can be considered as a positive development in respect of anti-graft regime as it includes various provisions relating to commercial organisations and persons who give an undue advantage.
