On 25th October 2019, Ms. Mumtaj begum, PhD conducted a special lecture on Law relating to Quasi Contracts in India. She discussed how law grants a partail contractual status to certain transactions. she also mentioned the similarity between English and Indian laws pertaining to Quasi Contracts.The lecturer mentioned that the term Quantum meruit is used instead of the word Quasi Contracts.Ms.Begum explained the case of Moses v.Mcferlan where the term was first judicially scrutinized.She also explained the case ofahabir Kishore v State of MP to explain the Indian law pertaining to quasi contracts.She concluded by high lighting the repevance of Indian Contract Act even after 150 years of its inception
