On February 21st, 2024, the Patent and Innovation Summit was successfully organized at the M.M. Convention Center, Saveetha Dental Campus by IPR department featuring around 15 distinguished speakers. The event included the launch of the Pi Connect Book and an insightful speech by Mr. Nandakumar IRS, Commissioner of Income Tax, Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance, Government of India. Additionally, the Pi Community was inaugurated by Honourable Chief Justice Thiru Raja. The summit recognized over 25 outstanding patent holders and offered valuable insights into success mantras for business startups, delivered by Mr. Murali Sundaram, an accomplished author, happiness coach, and founder of TLC Masterminds & TLC Publishing. Furthermore, a panel discussion on "The Investor's Lens: Strategies for Successful Patent Commercialisation" was moderated by Adv. Adhilakshmi. Notable keynote speeches included discussions on the evolution of software innovations and patenting ideas in India by Mr. Srihari S K, Partner at K&S Partners, as well as insights into mastering patents by Shri. S.Udhaya Shanker, Deputy Controller of Patents and Designs. The event also featured an inspiring session on "From Vision to Victory – The journey of Derbymen" by Mr. Vijay Kapoor, Founder & MD of Derbymen. Finally, a closing networking session allowed participants to further connect, explore exhibitor booths, and engage in discussions regarding the day's insights.
