The introduction was given by Subin Abraham.  The main purpose of this topic is to educate the lawyers about the type of treatment the Dental practitioners do and about the legal claims.  Further the speaker gave a in depth speech about Consent form. Consent in dentistry also becomes the important area where consent of the patient should be obtained before the procedure starts, failing which the concerned practitioner falls liable under Tortious or Criminal liability depending upon the nature of the case. 

The speaker finally concluded that mistakes occur in every profession and it is an individual's duty to avoid it.
