Ms.Santhosh Bharathi was the resource person for the Webinar on Limitation Act. He is an advocate, practicing mainly before the Hon’ble High Court of Madras and other Subordinate Courts in Tamil Nadu graduated from the Karnataka State Law University.Currently, apart from practicing, she is also the Honorary Legal Advisor for a Tamil Fortnightly Magazine “Hindu Paarvaigal and Kuralagal”. As a passionate literature enthusiast, she has written numerous articles and content for many multi-disciplinary magazines in English as well as Tamil.
Limitation Act deals about the time period allowed for various civil and criminal petitions filed before the court. The resource person explained about the provisions in limitation Act and importance that should be given to limitation Act. She explained about the need of serious understanding of the need limitation act in practice perspective for litigation. She detailed the limitation act in practical procedure that is statutory limit of case, filing of case, appeal in a case and other circumstances. She also guided how to study the Act. And encouraged the budding lawyer and law students to give importance to it from their law school.
The webinar on this topic gave a pathway to students to understand the importance of limitation Act and guidelines of existing laws and practical applicability in society. The need for understanding the limitation Act by legal fraternity is needed for the cases to be handled in the procedural way.
