Jus Festum 2023

Saveetha School of Law celebrated National Constitution Day on 25th November 2023 as an extravagant award ceremony  Jus Festum’23 to appreciate and recognise the talents and achievements of the students, faculties and the non teaching staff. The event was inaugurated and presided over by our beloved Chancellor of SIMATS Dr. N.M. Veeraiyan. The Chief Guest for the award ceremony inaugural session was Thiru. D. Jayakumar, Former Minister of Law and Former Speaker to Tamil Nadu Government and other dignitaries were Dr. R.G. Anand, Member -NCPCR, Secretary to Government of India, Thiru. Dr. N.K. Senthamarai Kannan, Former ADGP, Government of Tamil Nadu, Tmt. Dr. Kavitha, Professor, Kannur University, Adv. Tmt. K. Sumathi, High Court of Madras and Thiru. Shankar Ramakrishnan, Director, Actor and Producer in Indian Cinema Industry. Dr. Deepak Nallaswamy, Director of Academics, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences and Dr. Sheeja Varghese, Registrar, SIMATS. have distributed 362 awards under various categories for the academic year 2022-23.

The awards includes 6th Ever Rolling Mega Moot Competition Flagship event of Saveetha School of Law and the student achievements in academics, sports and cultural events and the faculty awards for best performance in various categories. 

The week-long celebration of national law day concluded with the finale on November 25, 2023. Constitutional Pledge was taken as a citizen of India to make a remark on the Law Day.

The event was concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. Asha Sundaram, Principal, Saveetha School of Law followed by National Anthem. The audience is also mesmerised by cultural events organised by students and faculties..
