Industrial Visit to EPIC, Padur. Under the able guidance of Prof Dr Asha Sundaram, Principal, Saveetha School of Law, the students who have enrolled the subjects-Legal and Constitutional History, Economics-II and Law and Social Transformation in a Globalized World (LLM) undertook an Industrial Visit to EPIC Biodiversity Gaden, developed by Ms. Shanta Sheela Nair, I.A.S (Retired), at Padur, Chengalpattu district on 14th November, 2024. 

Ms. Shanta Sheela Nair highlighted the importance of protecting ecosystem and biodiversity for the betterment and well-being of humanity. She explained different projects including biogas, solar, waste management, water and sanitation, collection of rare plants and trees. Above all, Ms. Shanta Sheela linked a number of famous judgments and judicial pronouncements related natural resource management particularly water and forest protection.

This visit was coordinated by Dr A.Kannan, Dr K S Shoba Jasmin, Dr D Prema and Dr K Kirubakaran, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences. Dr D Anuradha also visited along with students and faculties.
