Faculty Development Program

Saveetha School of Law Conducted a Faculty Development Program on the topic “ ENVIRONMENT AND NATIONAL GREEN TRIBUNAL(FDP) ” on 18/10/2022.. The lecture was delivered by Mr Mrithunjayan K.M, Advocate, Madras Highcourt. He explained about Environment related issues and how to deal with them in a procedural manner . He mainly focused on the National Green Tribunal (NGT) and their powers & functions of NGT . Then he discussed sterlite issues and problems. The speaker explained the procedural way of approaching the NGT. He discussed about the Suo moto action taken by the NGT related to the environmental issues. Finally concluded the session with many environmental issues in some other states also.The session was interactive with the faculty and clarifying the doubts related to the environmental issues.
