Awareness Program on “Narcotics Drugs”
On 02/12/2022, , Department of Constitutional Law, Saveetha School Of Law organised a session on “Narcotics Drugs” at NARCOTIC DRUGS CONTROL BUREAU, Ayapakkam. The session was taking by Mr. Aravindhan., IPS Narcotic Head, Mr. Venugopal., Assistant Director and Mr. Jithendran, Superintendent. The session covered how Drugs are also impacted more among the school and college students. People should be more aware on the problems of using drugs. Especially, teenagers and youths should be more aware on the usage and consequences of the consumption of drugs. Because, people are more visible in the places such as pubs, party halls. And they consume drugs without even knowing that they are responsible for the environment. And they are pressurised by the peer groups, friends, etc. Students found that it was a new to our knowledge on the impact of narcotic drugs in our society and also took a note on the social responsibility as a legal professionals towards controlling of narcotic drugs. Students understood how even teenagers , youth and youngsters are fell into the crimes of drugs without their knowledge. Finally concluded with a interactive session that the students explored and were informed more about the drug usage and consequences as a youths and legal professionals
