Anuja, Assistant Professor, TNNLU, Trichy, delivered the keynote address focusing on the various dimensions of law and justice. The distinguished guest of the day brought the role of collective morality and the effervescent conflict between the wisdom of man and wisdom of law. She resonated with Salmond's ideology of “just and righteous” nature of humans and the need for external force for the maintenance of an orderly society. The afternoon technical session was handled by Dr. A Raghunatha Reddy, Director in charge, Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai. Dr. A Raghunatha Reddy highlighted law as a non static concept and he elaboraed it with the help of change of laws in recent times like decriminalisation of adultery, legalisation of same sex marriage, allowing women to enter into Sabarimala and the PuttaswamyJudgementrecognising right to privacy etc. He asked the students what is justice and opined that justice depends on the situation and there’s no one step that fits all definition.
