webinar on procedural aspects of criminal trial

Mr. J.thooyamani was invited as  speaker of the session who is a practicing advocate in madras high court for past 41 years and the topic dealt by him was Procedural Aspects of Criminal Trial. 

The speaker explained all the aspects starting from commission of crime till judgement and execution. He opined that all the law students should appear for the assistant public prosecutor exam at least once  and the last few minutes of the session was more interactive as the participants clarified their doubts. He further explained about the types of witness , examination of witness and about in camera proceedings.

The topic is of prime importance since most of the participants  were interns. It was essential that they were familiar with the procedure in criminal trials.
