Webinar on “LLM Education In UK: Opportunities And Challenges Amidst The Pandemic”. 


On 20th November 2020, the Centre for Criminal Justice Research (CCJR), Saveetha School of Law, organised an International Webinar on “LLM Education In UK: Opportunities And Challenges Amidst The Pandemic” in partnership with SSL Student Exchange Cell and Nottingham Trent University, UK.  Dr. Vasileios Adamidis, Professor and Principal Lecturer Nottingham law School was the chief guest. Ms. Aswathy Prakash G, Asst. Professor, Saveetha School of Law moderated the session.  Dr. Vasileios started the session by highlighting the nuances of blended teaching that they are adopting in Nottingham Law School (NLS), which boosted the morale of the academics and students alike. The moderator raised pertinent questions relating to the career avenues of Indian law students to practice as a Solicitor in the UK and the discussions revolved around the benefits and admission process of Legal Practice Course (LPC). Dr. Vasileios elaborated on the process of scholarships in UK law schools including the Nottingham Law School. He reiterated the benefits the students of Saveetha School of Law can avail as part of the MoU between SSL and NLS. The conversation then moved on to the various specialisations offered by Nottingham Law School and their career prospects. The session ended with an interactive Q & A wherein the panelists cleared the doubts raised by the students. The session was attended by about 50 students and faculties
