WEBINAR ON GENERAL EXCEPTIONS

The speaker Mrs. P. C. Abirami,B. A. B. L, M. L (Business law) and pursuing astroturfing in SRM school of law and she held the webinar on the topic of general exceptions. 

The speaker explained about torts and the general exceptions. She had explained every little concepts in a wide manner. She firstly started with the definition of torts. And explained about damages and characteristics and elements of torts. She also explained about wrongful acts, legal damage, legal remedy and further classified and explained maxims such as

• Injuria sine damnum

• Damnum sine injuria

And In general exception mam included the maxim is

• Volenti non fit injuria

She have explained case laws such as

• A. Krishna batra Vs orissa state electricity board. 

• Stanley Vs powell

Last;y, she explained about the contributory negligence (plaintiff own default) . The webinar was an enlightening session and improved the knowledge on the topic.  We chooses this topic because there is lack of knowledge about tortious liabilities and advocates are not applying torts in their cases.
