Webinar on An overview of protection of children from sexual offenses Act 2012

Webinar on An overview of protection of children from sexual offenses Act 2012, was having the Resource person as Mrs.Adhilakshmi Logamurthy who is a well known Advocate and a social activist.  The resource person gave an short introduction and discussed about the survey which  revealed that 53.22% of children have faced one or another kind of sexual abuse. She said that IPC being insufficient to protect the children from sexual abuse, in 2012 the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences was implemented to overcome the existing issues. Then she explained about the objectives of the Act and what are the different kinds of offenses covered under the Act and discussed the punishments prescribed under the Act and concluded the session.
