Sources of Law

Special Lecture was conducted under the Title “ Sources of Law” by Ms. SUREKHA S , Practicing Advocate, Poonamallee Sub Court. The Lecture started with how Law evolved and it continued with the sources of Law viz Customs, Precendent and Legislature. The faculty preached the students about the importance Section 154(3) and 467 of Criminal Procedure Code, 1973. Guest Lecturer discussed about how the laws are inter-connected with Customs and how it is interpretating in the Court of Law. Then continued with Precedent with the famous case law and how it has to be applied with relevant cases. Then explianed the concept of Legistature, how Acts are enacted in the parliament and the state legislatures and its interpretation in the court of Law. Later faculty started to share her personal experience of being a criminal advocate and she gave tips about how to clear the Public Prosecutor, Additional Prosecutor & to become the Judicial Math
