Department  of Labour Law conducted a transformative socio-legal awareness programme at the Mizoram State Commission for Protection of Child Rights on May 16, 2023. The event focused on two crucial acts, namely the Right to Education (RTE) Act, 2009, and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2021. Led by esteemed individuals from the Mizoram Child Rights Commission, the programme aimed to emphasize the effective implementation of the RTE and POCSO Acts and engage in an interactive session to learn about Mizoram's child welfare schemes and their implementation. The event was further highlighted through its telecast on Mizoram news channels, contributing to a wider reach of the awareness campaign. The programme encompassed various activities designed to engage participants and facilitate the understanding of child rights and legal provisions.
