Indira K, Assistant Professor of Law, VIT SCHOOL OF law has practiced both in the Supreme Court of India and the High Court of Madras. Apart from her practicng experience she has wide experience in academics too. she has worked in various colleges in Tamil Nadu and in Bangalore. Adding feather to her cap, she is a resource person for UPSC training institutes in Chennai, Bangalore, Mangalore, Assam. At present she is pursuing her Ph.D in Child Right Law, concentrating mainly on Juvenile Justice System, Alternative Care etc.,  Her enormous experience in academics and Practice benefited our students to understand the history and evolution of Juvenile Justice Law, the authorities and the enforcement mechanism of Juvenile Justice System. Students felt her lecture to be inspiring. As she dealt both on the theoretical and Practical aspect. And she interacted with the students emphasising on research and publication. More specifically how child rights remain as an important area of research, the gap between the enactment and enforcement of law. Further she focused on the recent Criminal Law Ordinance, 2018 and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
