The various facets of this act with special reference to child care and development, holistic health of a child, rehabilitation and social reintegration, physical and emotional well being was discussed. The diverse provisions in the realm of law and justice were articulated with insights from the act. The discussion also dwelt upon the nerve-wracking and spine-chilling Nirbhaya case which rocked the chords of the nation.
