Webinar on Introduction to labour laws and payment of Gratuity

The speaker was Mrs. Radha, who is a Practising Advocate in Madras High court. The topic for the session was Introduction to Labour Laws and Payment of Gratuity.  Calculation of Gratuity, Eligibility for gratuity etc were dealt with. The session covered other important aspects like Applicability of the act, Powers of controlling authority, Determination of amount of gratuity, Amount of Gratuity payable. In the end, constitutional validity of the act and penalties under the act were also discussed. All the concepts relating to gratuity were explained with the help of landmark case laws. The topic Gratuity is of prime importance and deals with benefits received for the services rendered to an organisation,  the calculations and determinations under gratuity are useful for ascertaining social security measures.
