Department of IPR, Saveetha School of Law organised a workshop on Intellectual Property Rights in association with the Trademark Registry, Chennai on 29th April 2022. Three senior trademark examiners of the Registry delivered the lectures for the technical session. Mr. R.Venkatesan,senior trademark examiners spoke on the different types of IPR which the National Intellectual Property Office handles. Mrs. M.Abirama Sundara Valli ,senior trademark examiners of the Registry ,delivered a lecture on the organisational set up and trademark examination process emphasizing both on the procedural and substantive requirements. The third respurce person Mrs.P.Subasini senior trademark examiners of the Registry ,gave students a practical session on how search is carried out. The students interacted with the resource persons after the technical sessions.
