Social Outreach Program

Social Outreach Program

It took Buddha seeing the infirm and the old to learn about inequalities, the Social Outreach Program on 26th July, 2019 organised by the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Saveetha School of Law was certainly an eye opener for the students. It is one thing to read about class inequality theoretically, and another to witness the human soul thriving in distress. The people of Jutkapuram,Walltax Road responded to the students' activities and performances enthusiastically, and were a pleasure to interact with. The skit and mime were well received, and the awareness campaigns were appreciated.the students also provided the note book, dictionary and etc to that people. The one-to-one interaction session was immensely enjoyable and informative, and we found the people to be clearly expressive and intelligent. We learnt that appearances are deceptive, and that clothes do not make the man. We visited the near Elephant gate C2 Police station and the inspector interacted with us, giving us awareness on various topics. Overall, it was a very memorable and informative experience, and we thoroughly relished it.
