Recruiter's Psychology

Special lecture on the topic "Recruiter's Psychology" was organized by Dr. Sreeya B for the Organizational Behaviour students on 11th October,2019. The resource person of the session was Mr. Guru Vignesh, Assistant Manager, Human Resources, Shriram City Union Finance Limited. He has MBA in Human Resource Management with 8 years experience in HR and Admin Department having comprehensive knowledge on HR competencies, recruitment procedures and policy implementation, employee engagement, Training and Development, Payroll management, compensation and benefits, performance appraisal and exit interview. He is Pan India recruiter for Shriram group.
The speaker started the session with introduction to psychology and its applications in an organization setup. He explained various tests that a recruiter adopts to test the various aspects of the candidates with respect to psychology like MBTI. He explained the concepts with real time examples from his experience of recruiting. He also told the importance of mood and emotions for understanding any individual and importance of emotional intelligence in a workplace. The resource person highlighted the ways of managing and motivating different generations in an organization. Overall the session was helpful and the students were interactive.
