On the Occasion of the 75th Independence Day, Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS) sets a world record by by simultaneously drawing and painting more than 5500 Indian national flags on 11th August, 2022 at Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences, Thandalam Campus. The event is coordinated by Saveetha School of Law. This event is marked as a world record registered with International Book of Record in the presence of Dr. N.M. Veeraiyan, Founder and Chancellor, SIMATS, Thiru A. Nazir Ahamed District Judge / Member Secretary, Mr. S John J Raja Singh, Additional Government Pleader, High Court of Madras. The Vice-Chancellor, Director of Academics and Deans of Constituent colleges of SIMATS graced the occasion with their presence. All the students and professors clapped their hands and expressed their happiness on achieving the world record. This feat was done to show that we are all Indians and we are all equal.
