Saveetha School of Law in collaboration with State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB) - Tamil Nadu Police organized a One day Workshop on Thursday, 16th November 2023, at the SCRB Headquarters in Chennai. The event was organized by Prof. Dr. Asha Sundaram, Principal of Saveetha School of Law. The Chief Faculty Coordinator Dr. Anju Mohan, Faculty Co ordinators Ms. Raveena R Nair, Mrs. P Varsha - Intellectual Property Rights Department, along with Student Coordinator Laura Rose Selvakumar.

This workshop was a first of its kind for the students of Saveetha as it dealt with the computerization of documents of the Police Department. It was quite an eye opener to see how the Police department has evolved over the years and how with the help of technology they have been able to help the citizens in need. With the help of technology, the SCRB has been helping provide the services to the citizens at the tap of a key with the convenience of being at home.

During the workshop, the Senior officials of SCRB briefed the students about the services provided to the citizens by SCRB which includes free and paid services.

They also highlighted the importance of the Fingerprints System and Modus Operandi Bureau. T

The information provided was quite explicit to the students who gained knowledge which will go a long way in their future.
