National Webinar on Legal Reasoning

A National Webinar on Legal Reasoning was conducted  by Saveetha School of Law on 19th September, 2020 . The guest lecturer was Dr. Sandeep Menon Nandakumar, who is currently an Associate Professor at MS Ramiah College of Law. He has also authored a book on ‘Corporate Human Rights Accountability in India’. The workshop was co-ordinated by Mohammed Haroon of 2nd Year, BA.LLB. The faculty co-ordinator was Mr. Rajkhanna, Associate Professor, Saveetha School of Law.

The webinar gave the students an insight about the various dimensions of legal reasoning and emphasized on the need to integrate morality with legal reasoning. The guest speaker explained how jurists in the past have realized mistakes committed by them decades later after a judgement is given. The guest speaker referred to many examples which helped the students understand the complex and changing nature of legal reasoning
