The management department of Saveetha school of Law has organised an one day National seminar on the topic Police Investigation- powers, tactics and techniques conducted on 3.12.21 was a very useful session. The seminar was a lively discussion and very informative. Many new aspects of police investigation which was not known earlier was discussed in the seminar. Juvenile justice, Indian penal code, POCSO Act and criminal procedure code were the highlighted topics during the discussion. The session started with the definition of crime and the speaker explained how arrest should be made by the police and the persons who are exempted from arrest and its constitutional provisions. The speaker being a well experienced and knowledgeable person made the seminar very informative and interesting. The seminar gave a detailed view on how the police investigate a case and the various procedures involved in the investigation. It also touched the aspects of law that deals with these police investigation. Many real life incidents were quoted while explaining the topic and this made it much easier to understand the procedure. Overall it was an enlightening session for the law students
