National Seminar on National Education Policy

Criminal Law Dept, successfully held the National seminar on National Education Policy, 2020 on 10th September 2020 in Saveetha School of Law. Our Head of the department criminal law Mrs. K. Niranjana has given a welcome address; in her speech she enunciated the importance of conducting seminars on the topics of legal relevance, as a part of academic curriculum. Dr. B. Lavaraju in his speech highlighted the constitutional protection on Education and framing of Right to Education Act, 2009 with reference to certain landmark case laws and the significant changes introduced through Educational policies. Two distinguished speakers acted as resource persons. The other guest speaker (Retd) Judge D. SHANTHAKUMARI critically evaluated the vision of NEP, 2020 and shared some of her experiences at various levels of courts. Prof. S.V.M KAMASAI highlighted the curriculum and pedagogical reforms introduced by the NEP, 2020. Both the Guest speakers interacted with all the participants. In technical sessions there were 10 participants presenting their papers based on the themes provided in the Brochure of the seminar. The presentations were very elaborative, informative and touched on all the aspects of the issues and challenges involved in the education system. The guest speakers distributed certificates of excellence, appreciation, and paper presentations to the participants. D. Anuradha, Assistant Professor has delivered the vote of thanks.
