NATIONAL SEMINAR ON EMERGING TRENDS ON ANIMAL RIGHTS

The centre for Criminal law , Saveetha school of law organized a one day National Seminar to create enlightenment on young budding lawyers on various new trends on Animal laws in India on 25.7.2022. The Seminar was attended by more than 100 students including 10 outside participants and paper presentation was done by more than 25 members. The Topic for the Seminar was “ Emerging Trends on Animal Rights In India".The session was coordinated by Mrs. Niranjana and Mrs.Priyadharshini( Assistant professors, Saveetha School of law) and also by student coordinator G. Madhumitha.The seminar was presided by two speakers namely Mrs. Lincy Theorema and Ms Reena Thomas( Advocate,Madras High Court) who briefed the existing problems on the Animal Rights The first speaker covered the various aspect of contemporary legal protection for animals and also their pain and sufferings due to cruelty.The second speaker of the day continued the day discussing the various International laws in protecting animal rights. The session ended by clearing the doubts of students and with a group photo with the students.
